Burrowing Owl 2020 Merlot
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
After malolactic fermentation and aging in oak for 14 months, this is a solid, juicy Merlot that is currently fruit forward but will develop into a smooth, complex, lovely wine if you can resist the temptation to drink it for two more years. In fact, it is a big enough wine to cellar for up to 10 years. Tastes of black cherry, plum, sage, with soft tannins. Enjoy it with grilled meats, duck breast.
