Cavas de Weinert 2011 Cask Selection

Mendosa, Argentina

Aged for 9.5 years in French oak casks, this blend of 40% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot embodies the terroir of the high mountain vineyards (where it is cool enough to produce fine wine). Its aromas of dark fruits, herbs and spices are well-integrated with its oak aging. On the palate, it has a balanced acidity and tannins, with layers of blackberry, cedar and tobacco notes. The long finish has hints of mocha and leather.
