Montresor 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella

Veneto, Italy

Pictured is Edoardo Montresor, fourth generation of his winery family at the Vancouver International Wine Festival. From vineyards located in the hills of Valpolicella, this blend of native Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes is hand-picked and dried for three months on small racks to dry in winter, and then matured in oak for 18 months. The wine is deep garnet with aromas of ripe red fruit and herbs. Savoury and full-bodied, nicely balanced with velvety tannins. Enjoy it with game meat or strong cheeses.
